MEAD Harry

Passed away peacefully with family present on 28th July at The Bridge Neurological Rehabilitation Centre, Middlesbrough, aged 84 years, following a devastating stroke last December. Greatly loved by his family, late wife of 61 years Shirley, daughters Helen and Jill, late son Stephen, son-in-law Andrew and grandchildren Molly, Rosie and Ned. Beyond his family Harry, a journalist and author, loved the North York Moors, the Lake District, poetry, cricket and jazz. A private family service will be held on Thursday 18th August at Kirkleatham Crematorium. A memorial service is to take place next summer.
